New mix: Commutiae

John Lennon was right – It’s been over a year since my last mix, and it feels a lot shorter. “Commutiae” was inspired by my daily 3hr commute by bike, train and foot: a window of time I often use to listen to music and zone out of my surroundings. The result? A mix spanning seven decades, and touching on fragile folk, heavy dub, deep soul and current hiphop… and one that took a lot of time to finalise. The tracks that made the final playlist are linked by the fact that they are all favorites that keep me coming back. This mix is me attempting to group them into a coherent little universe.
