Carried Away

sully – in some pattern (from “carrier“, keysound recordings 2011)
sully – encona (from “carrier“, keysound recordings 2011)

God this is good. Sully’s “Carrier” is the second great album released by Keysound Recordings this year (this was the first), and it has had me in it spell since it was released a few weeks back. Sully has been producing for ten years, but it took him until september of this year to release a proper debut album – and it was worth the wait. “Carrier” is built from shards of old 2-step, drum ‘n bass, inner city melancholica and manages to sound fresh and “now” without problems. This is probably down to the fact that as good as all the tracks have a very sincere energy running trough them, and that Sully does exactly what he wants to irregardless of genre boundaries.

Listen to earlier single “in some pattern” and the beautiful “encona” above, and note that these sound even better in the context and flow of the full ten-track album. Released as an LP and digital release; you know what to do if you like this…
