And finally the father and his sons meet on record, with the latter playing compositions by the former. I haven’t had time for a lot of listens, but based on the few spins their new album has had, I feel it’s a worthy meeting of musical and biological generations – Kelan’s spiritual leanings are in balance with the Ensemble’s street swagger over the course of seven (long) tracks. A summer soundtrack.
