Ah, organist Charles Earland – there was a time I had around ten of his albums kicking around my collection. My copy of 1974′s ambitious “Leaving this planet” did just that today: it left the orbit of my possessions and is on route to a buyer in France as we speak.

My spring cleaning has turned into a non-stop process since first combing trough the collection 5+ years ago. I have long ago reached the point where I have more records than time to listen to them, and I love the idea of a collection being a snapshot of your current taste and interests. It was years since I played this Earland , and earlier listens have burned tracks like the title song above into my musical memory.
